How did Bumrah destroy England in Vizag?
Bumrah delivered a performance for the ages during the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. The Indian pacer claimed a staggering nine wickets for just 91 runs.
The first innings saw Bumrah secured six wickets for just 45 runs as he ran through the England batting order. The Indian pacer was able to snap up the wicket of Joe Root and then delivered a stunning yorker to Ollie Pope, that left the England batter’s stumps in a mess.
Bumrah would then return the second innings to provide crucial breakthroughs for India, including the final wicket of Tom Hartley in the second innings.
The performance in Vizag also helped Bumrah climb to the top of the ICC Test rankings for bowlers. The Indian pacer would dedicate his six-wicket haul in Vizag to his son, Angad, who was born last year.
“So, if you want to dedicate it, there’s no better feeling than you know. My son is travelling with me. This is his first tour. I’m more excited to go and see him now, So yeah, I will dedicate this to him,” Bumrah told the BCCI.
