During the match at Roland Garros, an on-air commentator had compared the Spaniard with legendary sportspersons like Virat Kohli and Michael Jordan.

Carlos Alcaraz is just 21 years old and has already secured all four Grand Slams. The Spanish youngster retained his Wimbledon title by crushing Novak Djokovic on Sunday.

It was the second Grand Slam for Alcaraz this year. He earlier defeated Alexander Zverev in the French Open final to triumph at the clay-court major.

Following his historic second Wimbledon victory, a clip of Alcaraz’s French Open quarter-final against Stefanos Tsitsipas went viral on social media.

During the match at Roland Garros, an on-air commentator had compared the Spaniard with legendary sportspersons like Virat Kohli and Michael Jordan.

When the third set was underway at the Philippe-Chatrier Court, Carlos Alcaraz baffled Stefanos Tsitspas with a cheeky shot. The French crowd went berserk after Alcaraz secured the point. That’s when a commentator said, “It’s like watching Virat Kohli in cricket or Michael Jordan in Basketball. He (Alcaraz) is really as special. He is so good. Only he can do this one.”

Carlos Alcaraz put up a dominant performance against Novak Djokovic, who entered the Centre Court on Sunday with an aim to equal Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles. The Serbian star, however, suffered a 2-6 loss in the first two sets.

Alcaraz struggled a bit in the third set but bounced back well to win the tie-breaker. He is now the third youngest payer in the Open Era to defend the Wimbledon title. Having won the French Open last month, Alcaraz also became the youngest ever to achieve the channel slam (Roland Garros+Wimbledon) in the same year.
