Valorant’s already vast map pool is increasing with the addition of a new map. However, this time it is not a regular map but a TDM map. Ever since the Team Deathmatch mode was introduced, every player had to repeatedly play the same three maps. That changes with the inclusion of the new Team Deathmatch map “Drift” in Valorant. Riot teased this map with multiple Instagram posts and finally revealed the Drift Team Deathmatch map at VCT Game Changers.
The official release date for the “Drift” map is set for 5th December 2023. The date was officially announced during VCT Game Changers this weekend. Check out the trailer for the map to get a feel of what this map brings:
As you can see in the trailer, there is now a zipline for use in the middle of the map. This map has a fresh vibe with familiar elements that will add to the already chaotic game mode. After the Fracture map, this becomes the map containing a usable zipline in the game.

Along with the gameplay, the map itself looks visually appealing with a lot of paradise island vibes. As more than half of the map looks like an island from Southeast Asia, the other half feels modern and resembles the Riot’s Kingdom association.
