Bayern Munich has announced the signing of Granada and Spanish sensation Bryan Zaragoza on December 6, Wednesday.

Zaragoza is known for his agility and skill as a winger. He began his youth career at Tiro Pich³n and Conejito Málaga before joining Granada CF’s academy in 2019. After a loan spell at CD El Ejido, he made his mark at Granada, contributing to their promotion to La Liga as champions. His performances, including a memorable brace against FC Barcelona in October 2023, earned him the La Liga U23 Player of the Month award and a call-up to the Spain national team, making him the first Granada player to receive such an honor since 1974.

Zaragoza’s rising star caught the attention of the Bavarian giants and on Wednesday he signed a contract with them, set to join them in July 2024. Bayern said that the youngster would sign a five-year contract.

“Bryan Zaragoza (22) will move from FC Granada to FC Bayern for the 2024/25 season. The German record champions have agreed on this with the offensive player and the Spanish first division club. The Spanish international will receive a five-year contract until June 30, 2029,” read the statement on Bayern’s website.

Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, said that Zaragoza has a lot of potential and has been on their radar for a long time.

“Bryan Zaragoza is a strong, very fast and extremely agile winger who can be used on both sides. He is unpredictable, dangerous and very good in one-on-one situations. He has already made his debut for the Spanish senior national team this year and has a lot of potential. Bryan is one of the hotshots in Spain and has been on our radar for a long time. He will expand our offensive options. We wish him every success with Granada FC for the rest of the season and look forward to him joining us in the summer,” said Freund.
