The Hobart Hurricanes’ Nikhil Chaudhary had a day to remember on January 4 as the all-rounder had an incredible time meeting his idol Brett Lee during the match against the Melbourne Renegades.
Chaudhary has been a revelation for the Hobart side during the Big Bash League 2023-24 season, scoring 72 runs from five matches and also picking up three wickets as well in the process. The Indian-origin all-rounder was once again vital for his side with the ball as he picked up the wicket of Quinton de Kock during the match.
The Hurricanes would win the match by six wickets after Sam Hain’s fifty and Corey Anderson’s 41.
Despite not getting to bat, Chaudhary would have a share special moment with his idol Lee, who was on commentary duty during the match. The all-rounder would dash to meet his idol, who was set to leave the Marvel stadium.
But Chaudhary was able to make it on time and had a fantastic interaction with the legendary pacer. The all-rounder would also teach Lee his trademark Kabaddi celebration as both men were all smiles after the interaction.
