Popular sports broadcaster Sanjana Ganesan has been receiving considerable praise for subtly bashing an online troll who body shamed her with a comment on a special Valentine’s Day post with her husband Jasprit Bumrah.
One of the most-followed cricket couples, the Indian cricket team pacer and his wife Sanjana Ganesan, shared a video on their social media handles in collaboration with popular beauty brand L’Oréal. The post garnered a lot of positive comments about the couple and their chemistry, which was seen as a pre- Valentine’s Day special by their fans.
While many were positive in their reaction to the post, a user irked Sanjana Ganesan by body shaming the sports broadcaster.
“Bhabhi moti lg rhi hai” (Sister-in-law is looking fat),” one of the comments read.
Sanajana Ganesan schooled the troll for his remarks while questioning his character and education for even thinking about making such a comment. The comment, which has now been deleted, also received a lot of backlash from Bumrah and Sanajana’s fans.
“School ki science textbook toh yaad hoti nahi hai tumse, bada auraton ke bodies ke baare mein comment kar raho. Bhaago yaha se..” (You can’t even memorise the science textbooks from school and here you are commenting on female body shapes, scoot from here), said Ganesan in her reply.
Bumrah and Sanajana have shared updates about their personal lives on social media consistently since they tied the knot in March 2021.. Bumrah has had his fair share of criticism and trolling on social media, especially when he was spending time away from competitive cricket due to injury concerns in 2022-23 season.
Jasprit Bumrah, fueled by the confidence from his outstanding performance in India’s second Test against England in Visakhapatnam, is now getting ready for the third Test in Rajkot. The pacer picked up 9 wickets across his two innings in Vizag, playing a crucial part in India landing the win and leveling the five-match series by 1-1.
Notably, Bumrah became the No. 1-ranked bowler in ICC Test Rankings after the Visakhapatnam Test. The Mumbai Indians star became the first Indian fast bowler to achieve the landmark.
