CSK’s record of not losing to the SunRisers at Chepauk remained intact and they also snapped a 2-match losing streak. The Super Kings bowlers were on top as they managed the wet ball in dewy conditions wonderfully well. While Tushar Deshpande picked up 4 wickets, including that of the dangerous Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana picked up 2 wickets each. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja returned to form with a wicket in his miserly four-over spell in which he conceded 22 runs.
