Legendary Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni had the MA Chidambaram crowd buzzing on Tuesday, 26 March. Playing against Gujarat Titans at home, CSK posted a dominating total of 206 runs in the first innings of the game. The Chepauk crowd gave loud cheers for their former captain every time they saw him on the big screen.

MS Dhoni was seen putting on his batting gear and shadow practising in the final overs of the match, ready to come out if needed. In anticipation of his arrival, the Chepauk crowd roared every single time they saw Dhoni’s visuals in the dressing room.

MS Dhoni, however, did not come out to bat for Chennai Super Kings on the day as youngster Sameer Rizvi took on Rashid Khan in the penultimate over of the match, announcing his arrival. Rizvi smashed Rashid for two sixes and helped CSK cross the threshold of 190 runs. After Rizvi’s dismissal in the third ball of the final over. Ravindra Jadeja walked out to bat ahead of MS Dhoni and scored 7 off 3 balls. Jadeja got run out trying to runs two runs of the final delivery of the innings.

Earlier in the innings, Rachin Ravindra continued his stunning form in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday, 26 March. Playing against Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Rachin got Chennai Super Kings off to flier scoring 46 runs off 20 balls. Rachin punished the GT pace attack comprising Azmatullah Omarzai and Umesh Yadav to rise in stature in front of the dedicated Chennai crowd.
