Eoin Morgan feels that Kolkata Knight Riders star Rinku Singh is making a lot of good decisions at the moment as the left-handed batter gets ready for IPL 2024.
Rinku was the bright spot in KKR’s underwhelming IPL 2023 campaign and his performances helped him make his debut at international level.
Speaking on JioCinema, Morgan, who had spent three seasons with him at KKR, was all praise for the young batter.

The former KKR skipper said that you tend to sit back and admire the work ethic of Rinku Singh over everything and said he has a great attitude to back it as well.
Morgan feels that the role Rinku plays for KKR can be unforgiving at times but he seems to be making all the right calls at the moment.
“I was in the KKR squad with him from 2020 to 2022. You sit back and admire the work ethic over everything, combined with his attitude. It’s a role that can be very unforgiving at times. You have to be concise and calm, but also have to pick your time and match up to accelerate the run rate. Right now, Rinku Singh is making a lot of good decisions,” said Morgan.
How well did Rinku perform for KKR in IPL 2023?
Despite coming in lower down the order for his side, Rinku finished as the highest run-getter for KKR and was 9th overall in the standings for the entire league.
In 14 matches, Rinku scored 474 runs at an average of 59.25 and a strike-rate of 149.53. He also hit 4 fifties during the course of the season as well. His crowning moment of the season was his heroics in the match against Gujarat Titans, when he single-handedly got KKR over the line.
Rinku hit 5 sixes off Yash Dayal to help KKR win the match and suddenly he became the heart throb of the tournament.
Rinku will be in action for KKR on March 23 as they start their IPL 2024 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens.
