Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Chennai on Sunday, March 31 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Pant became the second skipper after Gujarat’s Shubman Gill to be fined for slow over rate.
Interestingly, Gill was also fined during a match against CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. As far as Pant is concerned, he needs to be careful as 2 more offences will lead to his suspension from one match. Since it was Pant’s first offence, his DC teammates weren’t fined.
