International Olympic Committee (IOC) member and Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani on Tuesday felicitated India’s shooting contingent at the first-ever India House at the Olympics. The Indian shooters have been in a role at the ongoing Olympic Games. Haryana’s Manu Bhaker opened the country’s medal tally with a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol women’s event on Sunday and went on to win the same honour in the 10m Air Pistol mixed-team event with Sarabjot Singh.
Nita Ambani honoured Sarabjot at the India House event and also praised all the athletes present from various sports disciplines.
“We are delighted and honoured to have all our athletes at the India House. In the words of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there are no losers in sports, there are only winners and learners. Each one of you has made India proud,” said Nita Ambani at the event.
“Congratulations. I wish each one of you continued success, glory, and fulfilment in your journeys ahead,” she added.

Indian shooters shine in Olympic Games
It was twice as nice for Manu Bhaker as she clinched a history-making 10m air pistol mixed team bronze with Sarabjot Singh in the Olympic Games, joining the league of India’s greatest athletes in a span of 72 hours by being the driving force of the country’s campaign so far. Her performance, which also includes a 10m air pistol individual bronze won on Sunday, left the country joint 28th with Moldova in the medals table.
On Tuesday, the Indian pair defeated the Korean duo of Lee Wonoho and Oh Yeh Jin 16-10. It just added to Bhaker’s growth story as she completely wiped off the memories of a horrendous Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020 where her pistol malfunctioned leaving her in tears.
