South Africa will be favourites in all three formats when they play against India in December, fels former India cricketer Aakash Chopra. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said that it is unlikely that India will cleansweep the series in any format of the game because they are not playing their best team.

SA vs IND: T20I Squad Details

India released three different squads with three different captains in the tour of South Africa due to the absence of senior players. While Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will miss the white-ball leg of the tour, Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the series due to his ankle injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India have announced KL Rahul has the ODI captain, Suryakumar Yadav as the T20I captain, while Rohit Sharma will take charge in the Test format in the series.

“I don’t see a chance of a clean sweep anywhere. We are not playing a very good team in ODIs and they are also not playing a very good team. However, the conditions will still favor them and they have had a decent World Cup,” Chopra said while previewing the tour on his YouTube channel.

“I see South Africa as slight favourites in this entire series. I could be completely wrong and I hope I am wrong, but I am seeing a few more matches going in favor of South Africa. It can be 5-3 in favor of South Africa,” he further added.

SA vs IND: ODI Squad Details

The last time India travelled to South Africa, they lost in the ODI and Test series after a feisty competition. While South Africa cleansweeped India in the ODI format, the 3-match Test series turned out to be a controversial one in the 2021/22 tour.

This time, India will play only 2 Test matches against South Africa as a part of the World Test Championship calendar.
