Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar arrived in Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, set to be held on Monday, 22 January. Sachin left Mumbai early in the morning with his wife Anjali to attend the inauguration of the temple.

News agency PTI posted a video of the former cricketer travelling with his convoy in Ayodhya.

The legendary cricketer is one of the few athletes who have been invited to attend the ceremony. Former India cricketer Venkatesh Prasad is already in Ayodhya and has been posting images and videos from there. Senior India batter Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are also expected to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

The inauguration of the Ram temple is being attended by several politicians, industrialists and film stars. The likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif and Ayushman Khurana have arrived in Ayodhya. Ram Mandir will be inaugurated today in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, four years after the landmark Supreme Court judgement. The mega event will feature the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla (idol of infant Lord Ram), with the rituals led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ram Mandir: Key Details

The Ram temple has been designed in traditional Nagara style. The temple is 380 feet in length, 250 feet wide and 161 feet tall. The new structure has been designed by Chandrakant Sompura and his son Ashish. The temple complex spans 70 acres, with the main temple area covering 2.7 acres and a built-up area of about 57,000 square feet. The entire structure, valued at Rs 1,800 crore, has been financed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which has collected over Rs 3,500 crore in donations from across India and abroad.
