India batter Rinku Singh made a fan’s day by signing an India jersey at the airport following their narrow six-run win against Australia at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In a video released by Rinku’s Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders, the hard-hitting batter can be seen signing a fan’s jersey after he calls for him at the airport.
Rinku has represented India in 10 T20Is, scoring 180 runs in six innings at an average of 60 while striking at 187.50. Following his recent performances, Rinku was named in India’s ODI and T20I squads for their upcoming tour of South Africa.
Rinku has a good domestic record as well, scoring 1844 runs from just 55 matches for Uttar Pradesh in List A cricket. Rinku averages 49.83 and has done incredibly well in the past two seasons.

His performance in the 4th T20I was particularly noteworthy, where he played a crucial innings of 46 runs off just 29 balls. This explosive batting helped India set a challenging target of 175 runs for Australia, contributing significantly to India’s series win.
However, he suffered a rare failure in the fifth and final match of the series, being dismissed after scoring six runs off eight deliveries by spinner Tanveer Sangha.
Rinku, who broke into the limelight in the Indian Premier League 2023, has made a strong debut with the Indian team. Rinku first played for India in the Asian Games 2023, where they won the gold medal, and has since done well against Australia.
Rinku had an IPL season to remember, scoring 474 runs in 14 matches, averaging 59.25 while striking at 149.53. Last season saw Rinku score four half-centuries while hitting 31 boundaries and 29 sixes in 14 matches.
However, despite his performances, Kolkata Knight Riders failed to reach the playoffs, finishing seventh in the IPL 2023 points table.
